House Votes to Let VA Doctors Recommend Medical Marijuana: The House passed an amendment allowing VA doctors to help veterans register for state medical cannabis programs, reversing a longstanding policy that forced veterans to seek costly outside providers. The measure is now attached to the FY2027 VA appropriations bill, though similar proposals have passed before without becoming law. Article
Minnesota Tribe Opens First Cannabis Lounge: The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa opened Minnesota's first cannabis consumption lounge on tribal land, where guests can consume solventless concentrates with a trained host. State-licensed businesses can't offer the same, as Minnesota only permits on-site consumption of edibles at microbusinesses. Article
Interesting Number : New Jersey's adult-use market hit a new monthly high of $108.9 million in April, a 20% jump from a year prior. The state has now surpassed $412 million in recreational sales through the first four months of 2026. Article
Neue Galerie to Merge with the Met: The Neue Galerie, known for its major Klimt and German Expressionist holdings, will merge with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2028 as the "Met Ronald S. Lauder Neue Galerie." The deal includes 13 donated works from the Lauder collection and requires the Met to raise a $200 million endowment. Article
